I believe our male-dominated, testosterone-driven world needs to hear more of the F-word. Let me explain.
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you read the following words?
These words carry a certain connotation in patriarchal society, don’t they?
Yet, in the new economy, we are seeing the ideology of these words cause a monumental shift that is manifesting in the world.
“Western women will save the world.” ~Dalai Lama
If you pay attention, you’ll notice a global shift taking place, which will take us from a history of male-dominated practices to a more inspirational divine feminine way that is by its very nature more collaborative, unifying and healing.
I say divine because I believe it is God that is bringing this shift to a world of injustice. You see, the Creator of the universe is a God of justice. The entire bible is a story of redemption, bringing justice and righteousness to a hurting world. (For God so loved the world. John 3:16)
What this means is that the status quo of dog-eat-dog, greed and lust, will no longer be the order of business. People are hungry for justice, balance and divine order. Which means that the feminine arm of society is being summoned to take her place at the table of justice.
“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.” ~Dalai Lama
What does this mean to you and me as a woman and a business professional?
I believe that in order to influence our market in the new economy we will need to embrace, cultivate and lead with our feminine-edge, in a masculine world.
We will need to resist the call and seduction of aggression and domination. We will need to embrace our Spirit-lead intuition instead. We will need to be heavenly motivated rather than earthly driven. We will need to be guided by our hearts.
We will need to walk in love.
We will need to forgive.
We will need to abandon our need for approval and validation from others.
We will need to fully own our value, knowing that God created each one of us for a unique purpose and assignment that only we can fulfill.
We will need to embrace the whole person of who we are, feminine and masculine. In perfect balance. Yet, sometimes being off-balance, and embracing that too.
Instead of looking out for ourselves first, the successful business professional of the new economy will seek to know what’s in it for the greater good of all concerned.
By its very nature, being a small business owner is a masculine-oriented activity. But prospering in the new economy will require a balance of feminine energies along with the masculine energies that have dominated thus far.
From my perspective, this is a necessary concept to acknowledge and live by if you are to be relevant and prosper in the years to come.
Over the next two decades, women stand to inherit unprecedented amounts of wealth. Since we live in a world where money represents power, this monumental shift – which is already taking place – will force the prevalent male mentality to wake up and smell the proverbial roses.
I feel inspired when I think about what’s possible when we women fully give ourselves permission to own and step into our femininity in a masculine culture.
Think about what’s possible for you, the solopreneur or small business owner, and for women globally when the cultural norm will no longer be women and young girls struggling to achieve or maintain personal safety, financial security and gender equality.
Can you imagine what it will be like to live in a world that honors and upholds the power, mystique, and beauty that is the divine feminine?
I believe it could possibly be a return to God’s original design for heaven on earth.
Hello there, I’m Patti. I’m a financial coach, retirement planner, and solo-preneur. I’ve worked with hundreds of women, school teachers, and their families to create a plan for a secure retirement. As a result, I learned how, more often than not, women do money differently than men. Yet, the unique financial needs of women have not been well served by the financial services industry. Which is why I’m super passionate about this work. I’m on a mission to teach women how to take charge of their future and their financial security.
